low low quality toy - can not even be played Feb 17, 2007
By Goldit This toy is probably the worst we've ever owned simply because its a guitar but the strings are so loose we can't play it. In the first second my child opened it a string broke, but then when we tried to tighten the others it wasn't possible, we tried screwing the knob and a screwdriver. This thing is just a huge piece of junk - don't waste your money like we did.
String broke first day. Don't waste your money Jul 22, 2011
By A. Kehoe This guitar looked cute online but one of the strings broke the first day and then we had to go out and buy new strings which were impossible to put on this guitar. If you want a guitar for your child spend a little more and get a better one. This is a waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere on a guitar that they can actually play!
Schylling - shame on you for putting this junk on the market Mar 06, 2011
By honestabe What a piece of crap.... don't waste your $$. We bought this for our 2 1/2 year old... have had it for a week and we're down to 2 strings already (and these are the 2 replacements that come with the guitar, so we've basically lost 1 string per day). Its really horrible quality... i was strumming the guitar gently and one of the strings broke so i know its not my son being overaggressive with it. I also worry that the problem doesn't end with the strings... there are other parts of this piece that are coming apart already (the brakcet to hold the strings, and the neck of the guitar). I've given up on this and have just ordered a real guitar... it will be too big for my son to hold but at least he will be able to get sound out of it. Shame on you Schylling.
Granddaughter Loves it! Jan 11, 2011
By Alma Atkinson My granddaughter is 7 yrs. old. she asked for a guitar for Christmas. seems to be made fairly well except for the strings and tuner keys. they tend to slip backwards but I realize you have to be careful of dangerous objests with childrens toys. the company opted for SAFE over metal strings which could break and harm a child and I appreciate that decision. Lacy doesnt even notice. she loves this toy guitar.
Better than expected! Nov 02, 2010
By Kerri We received this as a gift for my 3 year old son about 3 months ago. He's played with the guitar everyday, all day and considering what kind of abuse it takes it's held up quite well. The strings do come loose and need to be tightened fairly often but after a quick adjustment it's good to go. I'd definitely recommend this for the music lover in your house!
