Max & Monty dump lose their dumper rather quickly Dec 14, 2009
By R. McCrea
"Bob McCrea"
My twin boys love the trucks, but within minutes the dump parts of the trucks were displaced and lost. I can understand why they were made easily detachable, but the fact remains that the two parts of the truck are rarely found together, and toddlers are usually unable to find the parts or put them together again.
Get ready to spend a lot of time with these trucks if you buy them. Every few minutes your kid will want you to repair them.

Truck's Back falls off...still tons of fun Jan 28, 2008
Max and Monty are featured on the DVD "On Site with Thomas" and are seen in almost every story so they are a great gift! We were slightly disappointed with the lack of actual wood used, that may have affected the durability. The back pops out rather quickly but it is not too difficult to put back. The toy tends to be fun anyway since there is a magnet positioned on the back of the passenger seat. Thus making Max and Monty great transporters for smaller engines and trucks like Thomas and Percy. The back loader is very easy to move back and forth but it does not last too long so eventually we just took it out and are 3 year old had just as much fun without it.

Dumps come off Feb 21, 2011
By barbie_jj I bought these because learning curve toys are very durable. The only complaint I have is that the dump part comes off all the time. The kids fix it themsleves but it is a real pain.
disappointed May 11, 2011
By LSal I usually don't think twice about ordering Thomas products since they are known to be high quality, but this one is a doozy. The dumping part of the trucks quickly came off and were lost within a day of my son receiving them.
Just like the ones in the show May 03, 2011
By Sean B. Halliday These look just like the Max & Monty in Thomas & Friends and are durable and have withstood my kids use very well.
