you might have had this thing when you were a kid, but one thing has changed since then. CHINA! this thing broke the first time we used it. daughter was so upset...don't waste your money!

Had a hard time finding this product but found it here....product arived sooner than expected...very happy with service.

This appears to be the same as the item sold under the Sababa name, if it is, beware! The Sababa version (apparently identical down to the "Flavor-Aid" packet) is a disaster. Thoroughly poorly designed and made. Shaving mechanism consists of a flimsy plastic drum with sheets of dull steel riveted onto it, connects via a flimsy plastic ring to a flimsy plastic crank. It is frustrating for an adult to try to shave ice, let alone a child. For the same amount of money, one could buy a real electric ice shaving machine. The included "flavor packet" is powder that you must mix with sugar and water to make the syrup. Absolutely pointless.
