This is a great caboose and plays the Thomas and Friends theme song "Engine Rollcall". It just plays the tune, and isn't too loud (something that is pretty consistent with all the Thomas toys, and I appreciate they made the choice to make things quieter). It plays the last part of the main chorus:
My 2 year old boy loves this train, and pushes the button repeatedly, trying his best to sing along, and shaking his hips and shoulders to the beat. It is rather charming, if I do say so myself!
The lyrics:
"They're two, they're four, they're six, they're eight,
Shunting trucks and hauling freight.
Red and green and brown and blue,
They're the Really Useful crew.
All with different roles to play
'round Tidmouth Sheds or far away,
Down the hills and round the bends,
Thomas and his friends."

We love this toy. All the Thomas trains are great. This one plays the Thomas theme song. The kids love to push the button and make it play over and over. It's not too loud. Great toy

After buying a Thomas & Friends Musical Caboose along with a couple of train sets, I quickly found out that I needed to find more musical cars and engines to keep my grandson and granddaughter from fighting over the Musical Caboose.

Great Sound of Thomas Theme Song Nov 13, 2009

My son loves this train car as it plays the Thomas theme song. There is a button on top of the caboose that you push to activate the sound. The full song plays before it stops. It is a nice volume and adds some fun to the wooden railway cars.

This was just a little stocking stuffer but did my grandson's face light
up when the music started playing. Only had it for a short time so I can't say how durable it will be or if the battery will hold up. He got
a few other Thomas cars but this is his favorite.
