 lots of fun, but small hands can't open it Mar 30, 2011

I purchased this item for my 3 yr old nephew and 1 yr old niece. They love it, once an adult opens it for them. The clasp that holds it shut is too small for little fingers to pull open. All the pieces are well constucted and so far are durable, it's just little ones can't open the case to get the pieces out to play with. Not really sure what the education value of a picnic set is, that is why I gave it 3 stars for educational value.

"First time Mom"
This picnic set is truly a joy. My daughter received it for Christmas 2009 and she loves it. She walks around with the radio and the basket and continuously has a picnic with her dad, as he loves to BBQ. They have many moments of fun and she actually lays the drumsticks on the plates, eats and drinks. She is also very good about tidying up after and packs up everything in the basket when done. She is 17 months old. This was definitely a great gift for her and we watch her in amazement at how well she plays with it. Highly recommend for your little one! Also, the price was also reasonable and the quality of the items are good and durable.

I bought three of these picnic sets to give as gifts. One I gave to my own child who was 18 months old at x-mas time, one to a niece who was 19 months old, and one to a niece who was 2 years old. All of the children have really loved this set and it is played with daily! My daughter has a large grill and kitchen set that she uses this small picnic set with all the time. She is still playing with this set daily after more than 6 months! She loves setting up a picnic for herself and daddy and they pretend to eat the chips and chicken together. So cute!

Got this darling picnic set to go with the "Sizzlin' Cool BBQ Set". The picnic set is filled with very fun and imaginative foods (curled chips, hot dog with bun, etc.) and the little radio was a VERY big hit!!!! The "basket" provides a tidy container and the graphics on the basket are awesome! This is a quality product and a ton of fun for our 2-1/2 year-old grandchild!

My grandson loves it. It goes very well with his toy BBQ grille. He is only 3, and wanting to do all the things dad does. BBQ-ing is a big one, and this set helps with the pretending as well as learning.
