One of my boy's favorite toys May 05, 2011

My 22 month old son has a thing for frogs, and this one is his absolute favorite. He takes it to bed every night, and loves reading with him tucked under his arm. It was given as a gift, and we didn't even know about the book it's based on until very recently. Now we can't wait to get him the book, too, so he can have story time with both his frog and the book that inspired it!

I got this for my niece when she was born, and now that she's 15 months old she has decided that Big Frog is the best thing in the world, it goes everywhere with her. I got it with the book "Big Frog Can't Fit In" and it was a great accessory to go with the book. I think it's educational because my brother and his wife use it when they read the book to her and she can make connections with something from her life and the book, which is very important for comprehension.

Even though my son is only 14 months old he found his very favorite stuff animal friend in Big Frog. We did not know about the story, we were checking books and toys at Barnes & Noble when I came across this toy. I did not think about anything when I gave it to my son, and to my surprise he grab it, hug it and started to run away with Big Frog in his arms. He tripped several times and felt, but he got up every time, pick the frog up and kept on running. Of course, we had to buy it and is now his very favorite toy. He hugs it all the time like he never did with any of his many stuff animals. Now, we are shopping for the book.
