Thomas Tank Toy of Choice... Nov 24, 2007
By M. Brooke My son really likes this toy. He'll be 4 next month. I'm not sure how the toy is supposed to all fit inside the shed, but it's a great toy. There are small pieces that could get lost, but if the toy is kept together there is not problems.
This is a great toy, especially for the Thomas lover. You can even use Hot Wheels and the like to race.

Who designed this thing? Dec 25, 2008
By D. Bethke We have a BILLION other Thomas toys, and this is one of the worst.
My 4 year old son received it for Xmas, and the issue with the toy is that the trains (the ones that come with this set) do NOT stay on the tracks. They make it down about one or two inches and then they fall off. Out of about 50 tries, we got one of the trains (Bertie the bus) to go down all the way. It seems like the tracks are way too flimsy for the weight of the trains. Super frustrating to say the least, and I had a very disappointed little boy. I'm not sure if something is wrong with ours, or if they are all like this, but it will be going back to the store.
Fun! Jan 20, 2012
By GJ Momma This is a fun little toy. We bought this used for our Thomas-obsessed 2 1/2-year old twins. We have fun racing trains (and Matchbox cars) down the ramps, and haven't had problems with them falling off the track. We have a lot of train toys, and my husband and I have the most fun with this one. :) We have more fun with it than the 2 year olds. shhh, don't tell! The tracks do come apart fairly easily, but they're easy to put back together. (ALL the train tracks come apart easily with two toddlers in the room, not just this one).
My 3-yr old can set it up Jul 12, 2011
By Confused at Work Got this for my son's 3rd birthday last year. After showing him how the track connects, he was able to set up the set by himself by looking at the photo. Unlike the other reviewers, our set did not have any missing pieces, nor did Bertie or Thomas fall off the tracks. The races always went perfectly.
Only thing I do not like & took a star off is that the tracks are longer than the barn house so it sticks out when packed & whacks something or someone while carrying or being stored in the shelf. Wish they were the same length but then it may have ended up being a bumpy track & would not let the trains run smoothly.
My son enjoyed playing with this toy, always brought with us on long trips with hotel stays.

Missing track Dec 29, 2007
By J. Laughary Nice item, but was missing the four pieces of track - bought as a Santa gift, we were lucky that Hot Wheel track fit, so we got by, but not much help from Amazon when we called about the problem - they wanted us to talk with Target about the problem, or they could refund the money when we sent back the unit. Missing track was not the fault of Amazon, but Customer Service could have been better.
