Grandson Loves - but cord has come loose Nov 29, 2008

My grandson (age 2-3/4) is a total Thomas fan and especially loves the cranes. This was a recent purchase and he was so excited that he got up by himself in the morning and his dad heard him playing with it before anyone was up.
He has had it less than 2 weeks and the cord that allows the magnet to go up and down has come loose from the insides and we have had to just tie it on (no longer goes up and down). We're about to take the crane apart (there are obvious Phillips head screws) and hope we can re-tie the cord.
This is the first of many Thomas series that has had a problem, but since it's quite a bit more expensive than trains, I hope we can fix it. I also plan to to to Learning Center's web site and see if there is a Customer Help area for advice.

Nice gift for immediate play! Jul 26, 2011

We gave this as a gift and it was a hit at the Birthday party because it doesn't necessarily need to be set up with the tracks to enjoy it. Seems it would be a nice piece to bring out and about with Thomas trains for that reason. It is nice to have toys like this for taking on a trip or keeping in the car. My kids will often make up all sorts of play with free standing cranes and things even with other cars or trucks. I would not hesitate to gift one of these again, a real pleaser.
