Cool stuff Jul 19, 2010 well, I'm happy with my dashboard driver, I've placed on my desk, and when I'm bored just push the botton and vader say something like " I am your father....(breath) ", hahahah that always makes me laugh.. xD
must buy.
Great Stress Relief During Commute Apr 05, 2010 I put Darth Vader on my dashboard. Now when somebody cuts me off in traffic or drives 45 mph in the left lane on the highway I just press the button and Darth says something ominous: "I find your lack of faith disturbing" "I Am Your Father". It's the actual voice from the movies.
Great!
Heavy Breather Aug 25, 2009 I use this novelty as a conversation piece on my desk. I recommend it for the desks of all Sci-Fi writers.
Its actually meant to be dashboard mounted and is supposed to speak during certain driving maneuvers. Even though I never intended it for the car I did install Vader there for a day or so to try to solicit a response. I got nothing. Even in Boston style driving, which can be dynamic if not hair raising, the dark lord was silent. Perhaps he was scared out of his wits.
In any case I do ocassionally press the yellow button at the base of the statuette to hear the dozen or so phrases that we all recognize from the Star Wars movies. The voice is an excellent reproduction of the breathy timber of James Earl Jones.

Sound and Vision Apr 29, 2008 The sound quality and phrases from the base are excellent, but the Vader figure has a "dent" in his helmet. My son also recieved one of these and it had the same "flat spot." It must be the mold they use. I removed the figure & kept the base just for the sound bites!
