My son wanted these from the time he saw them in a Thomas the Train catalog. He finally got them for Christmas and LOVES them. They really are adorable. The egg "cargo" is removable; and, when you slide the door on the car, you hear the chickens clucking. Too cute. Amazon's price is much better than any of the stores, too. We're not into buying all the cars to go with our train set, but this is definitely a great set to have!

This set of Thomas cars is a great addition to your railway. The egg cartons work with the cranes you can buy, and the sound from the chicken car makes my son giggle. However, our chicken car started malfunctioning, and sometimes gets 'stuck' and repeats itself over and over until you close the doors again.

I ordered the Thomas & Friends Sodor Chicken Car. The shipment arrived fast. Very pleased with turn around time. However, upon sliding the door on the car - the car didn't make a clucking sound as shown on the packaging. Somewhat disappointed with that. Contacted seller and he replied promptly offering to replace the car with a different car. But I really wanted the Chicken cars so I kept it anyway.

These cars are great!! I bought them for my 2 year old son for Christmas & I can't wait until he opens this up. The sound effects are great & will teach him where eggs come from. He's obsessed with anything that's Thomas & Friends. Great item!!

The parcle arrived and it was making a strange sound to be heard through the wrappings. It was not the sound one would associate with chickens however. The sound was on whenever the door was pushed all the way to hide the view of the chickens inside the train car. This is strange, as the other "Wild Animals" car that we purchased for our grandson didn't make any noise if the door was in that position. When you push the door all the way over so that the chickens are visible the sound changes and still does not sound anything like chickens. The only time the sounds stop is if the door is in a middle position, neither open or closed.
My wife wanted to return the cars but I know that our grandson will still enjoy the cars so we are keeping it. Also, it would cost about half as much as the price for the cars to return it.
