A fun bridge in the Thomas line. Oct 11, 2005
By Doctor Trance A nice, low bridge, with an easy-for-young-kids-to-use lever, where they must open it to allow trains to pass underneath. It is all wood except for the green sides of the bridges and lever, and it's solidly built. This thing is so low, it will never tip over in your setup. My son always has to have this bridge connected to everything he sets up, and he hasn't got bored with it since he got it.

Flimsy mechanism Jul 23, 2008
By DaddyO IN SFO Only half of the bridge opens for me. The internal gears are pretty flimsy, so they slip and one side only raises halfway.
Poor design, poor construction Mar 15, 2011
By Rebekah Jensen I'm big fan of the Thomas wooden railway series, which is why I was surprised that this bridge is so poorly designed and constructed. I had to disassemble and pry apart the bridge to put the green plastic bits in the right alignment so that the bridge would raise and lower. The connector holes aren't cut out well so you have jam the track pieces into it. It's also a hole on each side of the four connectors, no tabs, so you have to use the adapters instead of being able to just slot it inline.
