VERY NOISY TOY! Jun 16, 2008 Based on all of the reviews here I bought this for my 4 year old. He liked it for a few minutes and then lost interest.
It is VERY LOUD and there in no volume switch so it is always on loud. Add 1 screaming 4-year old and you can understand why I hid this toy in the basement. It also is made of cheap plastic and does not appear to be very durable. It is fun for adults so maybe my husband should bring it to the office tomorrow??

Disappointing, to say the least. May 17, 2008 We were excited about the five toggle switches that could be rearranged to create different sounds; however, they all sound almost identical...and not in a good way. Everything sounds very tinny and annoying, but not robotic or anything else. Our 8-year-old stopped trying to say actual phrases or sentences because they all came out garbled and unintelligible - he ended up just making random noises into it just to hear them amplified. There is no volume adjustment, it's all just LOUD and grating. This toy was taken away within an hour of giving it to our son. The other one we bought at the same time (for his sister) is still in the package and will NOT be opened or used by us. Disappointing, to say the least!!!

Kids like it but it gets very annoying May 02, 2008 My 8 year old got this as a gift. He loved the toy and would not put it down. His younger sister and friends thought the toy was a blast. As a parent I enjoy watching my kids have fun but after afew minutes this toy getting annoying. They is no volume control, and alot of the voice changind option are so lod and have an afternoise like fingernails ona chalkboard. I had to limit the toy to 10 minutes at a time.
After about 2 months use you was dropped once, office the trampoline (onto grass) and it started to make a loud humming noise. In the next week it slowly died. I do not plan to replace this toy.

Voice Changer Apr 11, 2008 Shut off button and trigger did not work from the first day. The children had loads of fun until the battery ran out. A battery lasts a day before running out because it does not ever turn off and a nearby noise can set off the lights. Maybe mine was faulty, but this flaw is a show stopper.

Boys enjoy it Apr 04, 2008 We got this for my son's 4th birthday and both of my boys (ages 4 and 7) love it. They have lots of fun with it. Mom and dad have some fun with it too. The only thing I don't like about this product is the battery compartment. You have to remove the tiny screw and then slide the plastic down to open the compartment. It was a little stiff and I was afraid that I was going to break the plastic. Thank goodness we didn't but I was worried. That's why my rating is 4. Other than that, it's a fun toy that I think all kids would have fun playing with.
